The renewals of the company-level supplementary agreements at three major food industry companies have been approved: Sanpellegrino, Lavazza and Illycaffè. Those already signed by Barilla, Campari, Vicenzi and Cargill will follow shortly.

Sanpellegrino, increase of 420 euros

In the renewal at Sanpellegrino (involving 4.000 employees), the financial component includes a bonus that will reach, once fully implemented, 3.320 euros more, with an increase of 420 euros, to which will be added 50 euros in welfare benefits planned for January 2027.
Furthermore, on the regulatory front, according to the trade unions, the agreement will strengthen protections in strategic areas.

Lavazza focuses on shorter Fridays

Lavazza’s new company-level supplementary agreement, which affects 1.200 employees, highlights the extension of shorter Fridays, the consolidation of smart-working policies and 8 weeks of paid parental leave at 100% for the other parent.
The agreement will be effective for the three-year period 2026-2028.
The financial component is structured around the renewal of the performance-related bonus: in 2026 the bonus paid exceeded 4.100 euros, equal to 140% of the target value. The new scheme takes the maximum theoretical amount payable over the next three-year period to more than 12.300 euros per employee.

Illycaffè, performance-related bonus

Also in the coffee industry, Illycaffè has reached a second-level agreement. The agreement introduces a performance-related bonus for blue- and white-collar employees, linking part of the variable remuneration to the achievement of the group’s financial targets.

A bonus is provided for which may reach up to 1.800 euros, with different amounts depending on professional classification. Employees will also have the option of voluntarily converting the bonus into company welfare benefits.
The agreement covers staff at the offices in Trieste and at the plant in Robecchetto con Induno, in the Milan area.
